California Girls

Today we headed out to Venice for some quality people watching and a little outfit of the day. I kept it casual but summer-y with white denim shorts (summer staple) and a light neon sweater, both from H&M. We decided daisies and hearts would be the perfect finishing touches along with a white purse and white shoes (we're loving white on white for summer). Venice is great if you're into interesting people and stores; I'd recommend checking it out on a sunny day. Here are some pictures from our experience...enjoy! :)

These tourists just hopped in the picture with me..!!

Update!

Okay, so, let's pretend that So Fetch is a TV show. This past month has been the time in between seasons, but have no fear because the next season is practically here! I'm smack dab in the middle of finals right now (US history is currently making my brain hurt, so I thought I'd take a break and come say hi), and the end of junior year has been really tough, so please forgive the lack of posts. That being said, I am two days away from summer vacation and I have never been looking forward to something so much, wow. I absolutely cannot wait to work really hard and get back into the swing of things. I am going to have a summer job, which of course means my closet is going to expand, and I'm also excited to bring you guys with me to Denmark once again. I actually can't contain my excitement...ahh!! School has been so stressful, with the loss of Justin and just the general work load, and I am incredibly psyched to put all of my time into blogging. I am so inspired, and I have so many ideas that just need to come to life!

In addition to my little spiel above, I wanted to share some pictures from a photography project I did for school. The theme was dream vs. reality, which is pretty broad, but I tried out my photoshop skills and this is what I came up with. The lovely lady in the pictures is Camilla, and you should get used to her pretty face because she's going to pop up now and then in regular posts. Anyway, I'll leave you with the set of pictures from my project and some additional ones that were just too gorgeous not to post. :) Happy June!!

DIY: "Flower Crown"

Hello friends!!

So today I thought I'd do something a little different. Here's a little DIY ("Do It Yourself") that might help you procrastinate for AP's or finals, or whatever else you have going on. Since I've been openly obsessed with these lovely boho head pieces, I decided that a tutorial for how to make them yourself would be quite handy.

What you need:

Fake flowers

Green wire

Hot glue

Scissors

Optional:

Twine or Ribbon
Step 1: Buy some fake flowers! I got these at Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft but I also got some more at Michaels. Pretty much any crafting store will carry them and they shouldn't be very expensive!

Step 2: Acquire some green wire. It doesn't have to be green, but I would suggest it, since the green will blend in better with the "stems" of the flowers. Measure the wire to go around your head twice, fold it in half and twist it together to create one thicker piece. It should fit around your head once. Twist the ends together, and you have your base!

Step 3: Cut the flowers so that about two inches of stem remains.

Step 4: Start hot gluing the flowers onto the wire. Adjust as needed!

Step 5: Continue to glue the flowers all the way around, or you could do it half way and finish it off by gluing a ribbon to the wire and tying a bow in the back! Another idea is to skip the wire altogether and just glue the flowers straight onto the ribbon, which would allow you to adjust the size easily.

Enjoy!

Spring Blue-ming

I love lace shorts for Spring and I've also had a weird obsession with blue recently, so basically these shorts are perfect for me. We kept the outfit fairly simple, pairing the shorts with only a plain white tee and white wedges, so we added a statement necklace to spice it up. I'd also rock this look with some white converse, considering I don't wear heals too often (they do wonders for your legs though). I had some fake flowers that went along with the blue theme, so Em and I decided to use them as a prop simply because we felt like it. Sometimes you gotta do you, you know? Hope everyone is having a great week! xoxo

Transitioning

Although it's definitely getting warmer, there are still those days when it's a little too chilly to wear shorts and a tank top; so here's to those days when you're feeling a little reminiscent of winter. The black and white theme along with the polka dots and even the braid are on trend for spring, but the sweater-maxi duo gives you some warmth for those windy days. So put your own spin on the cropped sweater + maxi look as we wave goodbye to the colder months. Hope ya'll are having a good week!!
