Watermelon Babe

Back again with another neon based outfit! This dress is definitely a daring one, but its also very sweet; for us, the bright watermelon color and the just-below-the-knee length, just screams picnic. (The camera doesn't do it justice - the color is even brighter in person). Em recently bought these wedges from Urban Outfitters for $20!! Crazy deal...and we love them so much for summer! We added the jean jacket and studded leather bracelets to toughen up this otherwise innocent and feminine outfit. Altogether we absolutely adore this outfit for spring or summer and we'll probably both end up rocking it at some point or other!

Power to the Berry

RAWR. As any one of our close friends will tell you, Krista is obsessed with tigers. We saw this amazing t-shirt and we didn't even think...we just bought it. The skirt is actually a formal dress. If you take off the t-shirt and exchange the boots for heels, BOOM you've got yourself a fancy shmancy formal night look. We love how the chunky boots mixed with the black tiger shirt add an edgy twist to an otherwise delicate dress. We've been seeing a lot of asymmetrical skirts lately and we were excited to finally use this dress in an outfit. Cranberry is a color that works with a lot of different skin tones and, in our opinion, will never go out of style. Power to the berry!!!!!!

Wild Card

This look is a little crazy, but it's so fun and we absolutely love it! The tribal print on the shorts (American Eagle) mixed with the neon yellow-green shirt (Forever 21) is really bold and quite a change from our last post. However, we love to change things up and as you can see we have a lot of variety between both our closets. This outfit is definitely in the spirit of summer (we frickin love summer) and is great to show off an early tan because of the shoulder cut-outs. The lips and the watch (American Eagle) add a much needed (in our opinion) touch of pink to bring together the whole look. Again, we are loving this neon trend and these shorts are super cute and really different from your average jean shorts. If your down, throw on some color and we bet it'll cheer you up! Enjoy :)

Phases of the Moon

This look is an example of an easy way to change up a simple LBD. The dress (Brandy Melville) by itself is really flattering and adding a cool t-shirt like this one (also Brandy Melville), creates a completely different look. A slouchy graphic t-shirt over a short, breezy, black dress is unexpected and edgy. Knotting it at the waist gives you a little more definition in that area (which Krista is always looking for). Since it's still a little chilly outside we added these adorable thigh-high socks as an alternative to your typical black tights. Pairing them with peep-toe wedges makes your legs look awesome (bonus!) and is super girly which contrasts the baggy shirt (in a good way!). All together, we just love this outfit to pieces!!

A Brighter Future

It's spring!!! This year we're loving the neon trend. We are so excited to see crazy colors in so many stores and magazines! This look is one of our takes on it. It's a little more mellow than some things we've seen/own, but we love it all the same. The jeans are such a pretty color and for us, they just sum up spring in a pair of jeggings. We were looking for a lacy/crochet tank top and this one was on sale so we just had to get it! It's so delicate and girly, and it lightens up the bright sweater and jeans. Nude pumps are a staple item: they elongate your legs, and go with anything without taking the focus off the outfit. We finished off with some gold jewelry and a cream colored purse to pull the look together.

Easy Going

This outfit is casual, comfy, and cute. The floral scarf can be overpowering at times but in this case it ads a pop of color to what could be a plain outfit. The jean shirt is really versatile, but we love  to wear it over a white tank or a dress. This ensemble is honestly so comfortable; from the leggings, to the slouchy knit shirt, to the cool cotton scarf it lets you breathe while staying warm. It's perfect for school, shopping, or just running errands. Enjoy!

Hot and Dangerous

Long time no see! We've been so busy with school and such, but were back! This week we decided to spice it up with a more dressy outfit. It's very simple but definitely makes a statement. The dress is plain but very flattering especially if you want to create the illusion of curves. The shoes are obviously awesome and complemented by the hot pink clutch and lips they transform the LBD into a fun, flirty and outgoing look. The key is to not overdo it with lots of jewelry and a fancy hairstyle. Let the outfit speak for itself. :)
