Color in the City of Love

As I walked around Paris yesterday I took a lot of pictures, and when I looked back through the pictures, I noticed a theme: color. The pictures were so pretty, I decided to post them. I thought the theme was ironic considering this season I've been loving color. Bright, bright colors. Summer is such a happy time; the weather is warm, and people are on vacation, so I like to reflect that in my wardrobe. Anyone who's known me for a while knows that I've always liked wearing bright colors (at times I went a little overboard), but I really believe it increases your mood. So, if you're one of those people who tends to gravitate towards neutrals and lots of black, try and step outside your comfort zone this summer, and infuse your wardrobe with your favorite colors; it might just be the cherry on top of a wonderful summer.

Back To My Roots

Greetings from Copenhagen! Even though this isn't the typical update I decided it would be fun to post it anyway. I was in Denmark the past week visiting family and we stopped in Copenhagen for about two days. We did some shopping and visited Tivoli Gardens; the weather was good, which was a nice change from the previous rainy days, but my feet are sore from walking so much (our hotel was "walking distance" from everything...). I love going to Denmark and seeing all my cousins in the countryside but also getting a taste of city life (they ride a lot of bikes!). Anyways, I'm going to Paris now and I'm super excited to do some outfits there! I've been studying Art History this past year so I'm ecstatic about going to the Louvre (I'll actually know what I'm looking at!). Well...see ya'll soon, enjoy!

This picture doesn't do it justice, but this is one of the bigger shopping streets in Copenhagen.

If you ever happen to go to CPH you must stop by Tivoli Gardens. It's one of the most beautiful places at night and the rides are fun too!

This ride gives me shivers it goes up so high, and you get a view of the whole city! However I'm not a big fan of heights, so it was really scary for me....

I picked this purse up at H&M. I absolutely adore it!

Coral Reef

Em and I did a couple of outfits before I left, but this one is probably my favorite. The dress (Free People) is, for me, a summer must have. Here we dressed it up with wedges and a rhinestoned headband (I'm wearing a slip underneath because the lace bits are see-through), but it's just as cute thrown over a swimsuit and paired with sandals for a casual beach day. Em doesn't like to wear it loose because she thinks she's too short for it (belting it brings up the hemline), but I love it (I'm convinced it slims my legs), and with a paired of relatively tall wedges, you just can't go wrong! It's so comfortable and it gives you a easy, pretty, boho look, especially when you accessorize it like we did. I'm SO in love with this look. :)
Anyway, thats it for today! I'm going to try really hard to post a lot, but I can't always get online! I hope everyone's enjoying their summer, I know I am, so until next time...
xoxo

Pop of Pink

In the spirit of summer we wanted to do a simple, bright look. All you need is a pair of neon shorts, a white t-shirt, and brown sandals - our summer staples this year. These three pieces look great together and are also easy to mix and match with other clothes to create effortless looks that are perfect for laid-back summer days. We're so excited (especially Em) that bug-eye glasses are back and couldn't wait to use these tortoise-rimmed ones in an outfit. You can definitely find us, especially Krista, in outfits similar to this one all the time. Unfortunately, this summer we aren't going to be together from now until August so Krista is going to try to upload as many outfits as she can with her mom as the photographer, and Em might upload some pictures from her trip...We're going to try our best!! Enjoy and happy summer :)

Simply Serene

This look was originally going to be just the skirt and tank but last minute Krista pulled out the parasol and we noticed how nicely the colors went together. Although neither of us would probably actually use the parasol, it had a really cool effect on the pictures and it's so pretty!! This outfit was basically just us playing around with ways to spice up a very simple look. We added three different necklaces and some rings and bracelets, including a red wrap bracelet which brightens up the otherwise calming color palette. Even though this look is a little out there for us we still love it! Enjoy!
